The 2026 season features something for every racegoer - from relaxed afternoons to headline events like the world-famous Qatar Goodwood Festival and the vibrant Three Friday Nights.
Affectionately known as Glorious Goodwood, the five-day spectacle steeped in history made headlines in 2025, with 150-1 shock winner Qirat beating favourite Field Of Gold and holding off Rosallion to be crowned the £1million Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes champion. Jason Hart’s celebrations aboard JM Jungle were a sight to behold as the five-year-old won his first Group race in the King George Qatar Stakes. Scandinavia claimed the first Group 1 of the festival week in the Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup and Whirl proved herself as a top filly in the Qatar Nassau Stakes.
Ladies Day got off to a glamourous start with Markel Magnolia Cup jockeys wearing colourfully patterned racing silks designed by RIXO, which was also our Talent in Fashion Award winner. The 2025 edition of the charity race was won by Markel International underwriter Sophie Forsyth and raised a record-breaking £834,170 for The King’s Trust International’s Project Lehar.
