Dogs have been part of life at Goodwood for centuries, with the first Duke of Richmond and Gordon's hounds calling the Estate home when he arrived in 1697. Today, that connection remains as strong as ever, with dogs at the heart of the Goodwood experience, from dog-friendly holiday cottages and welcoming cafés and restaurants to The Kennels, the Estate's private clubhouse, which takes its name from the historic hound kennels that once stood on the site. While Goodwoof will not take place in 2027, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy Goodwood with your four-legged friend. Explore the beautiful landscapes of the Estate, discover the Goodwood Art Foundation, relax over lunch, or enjoy a stay in one of our dog-friendly cottages. Whatever brings you here, dogs remain woven into everyday life at Goodwood. Whether you are visiting for a day out, a countryside walk or a longer stay, we look forward to welcoming you and your dog back to the Estate soon.
