Being big fans of Motorsport, Nicola and Will, had an easy time choosing their wedding venue!
“Goodwood is full of history and is iconic in the world of motorsport and horse-racing. We are both huge fans of the Formula 1 Championship, evident from the F1 Theme playing when cutting the wedding cake! We had a lot of family and friends travelling from different locations and The Hotel was proving the best option for the reception venue. Goodwood Hotel was in close proximity to Chichester Cathedral where the ceremony was taking place and was the perfect location.
“Goodwood was a most popular choice because it was in a desired location, modern aesthetic and we loved the separate Cedar Suite for us and all the wedding party.
“Our wedding was perfect. We decided to have the wedding in October and used an autumnal colour palette of dark forest green, navy blue and burnt orange to complement the hints of the season. These colours were dotted within the suits, flower bouquets and the DJ’s lighting. We have similar nerdy interests, so we didn’t go too traditional with certain elements but instead, added our own personal touches to make the day even more special.
“We planned our wedding day in 10 months which isn’t long! We knew we were going to have our ceremony at Chichester Cathedral, and it was just a matter of finding the perfect venue for our reception afterwards. We quickly fell in love with Goodwood Hotel as the perfect reception venue for us. Once we had the venues selected it was then about working out how we could add the autumnal touches with subtle nerdy themes thrown in there! For example, our table names were places out of our favourite video games and the topper on our wedding cake had the bride dragging the groom away from his games console! We also had lots of mini pumpkins and green foliage for our table centre pieces for those autumnal touches. We really enjoyed putting all these pieces together and Rhiannon at Goodwood made it so easy for us to do this and answered all kinds of questions in the months building up to our wedding. We really enjoyed the planning of our wedding from start to finish!"
“We liked that Goodwood Hotel’s food is all locally sourced, it added that extra special touch to the day. We enjoyed picking the food and enjoyed the tasting evening that we were invited to.
Starter:

“Rhiannon did an amazing job in helping us plan and deliver our special day. She noted everything that we wanted, and we had it all written down. When it came to the special day everything went seamlessly and we didn’t need to worry about anything, even when were running 15 minutes late arriving at The Hotel after our wedding ceremony at Chichester Cathedral. The team running the day easily moved things by 15 minutes."
Bride’s highlight:
“The most memorable part of the day for me was walking out of Chichester Cathedral, being able to get married in such a beautiful place, as well as hearing the music we walked out to, as it was from one of our favourite video games and it all worked so well. Then the drive to Goodwood Hotel as a newly married, husband and wife, in a white 1957 Rolls Royce! The day couldn’t have been anymore special, we managed to make everything come together beautifully in the theme, our day felt very much like our day with our personal touches and details!"
Groom’s highlight:
“The highlight of the day for me was seeing my beautiful bride for the first time in her dress whilst standing at the altar in Chichester Cathedral. The pictures & videos have highlighted this moment beautifully and my wife looked incredible. From there, we were both treated to the most amazing day with friends and family at Goodwood Hotel. Another highlight to note was the drinks reception. It was the first time my wife and I were able to truly relax with a glass of champagne!”
