The Going Report

We are committed to providing outstanding service to our owners and trainers.

The Owners and Trainers Restaurant is located along the Horse Walk, close to the Richmond Enclosure. Owners are able to enjoy a complimentary lunch for up to six people. 

The Owners & Trainers Pavilion is situated to the right of the parade ring. It is an exclusive bar offering complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day and plays host to our raceday winning connections. 

Exclusive Viewing
An Owners and Trainers exclusive seated viewing area can be found at the front of the March Grandstand just below the Duke's Box. 

Syndicate Lounge - The Horsewalk
A new facility for all fixtures outside of the Qatar Goodwood Festival.  The Horsewalk restaurant, adjacent to the racecourse, has been transformed into a bespoke syndicate and annual members' lounge.  Owners can enjoy a lounge bar facility and complimentary beverages.

Parking
Owners are entitled to three Car Park 6 Owners' labels per runner. This will be sent to the registered owner by post (from Weatherbys) at the entry stage. The car park will open 1 hour before the gate opening times. For any additional car parking requirements, please email owners@goodwood.com

Accessibility 
Blue badge parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the front of Car Park 5 next to the Richmond Enclosure entrance (please display your Blue Badge). For more information about Accessibility at Goodwood Racecourse click here, or email owners@goodwood.com

Gazebos 
Please can we ask that Gazebos in the car park are not erected in such a way that they block other car parking spaces. If spaces become too limited then we reserve the right to request they are taken down.  

Private Aircraft Landing 
All aircraft (fixed wing and helicopters) must land and take off from the Goodwood Aerodrome, situated two miles from the racecourse. Complimentary transport will be arranged once your landing booking has been made through  Air Traffic Control on 01243 755061 and email control.tower@goodwood.com

Getting Here

The Goodwood Hotel 
The Goodwood Hotel is located on the edge of the Goodwood Estate and offers complimentary transport to and from the racecourse on racedays. For reservations, please telephone 01243 775537. Owners’ & Trainers’ can receive a complimentary upgrade subject to availability.  Alternative accommodation can be found by contacting the Chichester Tourist Information Office on 01243 775888

Restaurant Reservations 
We offer a complimentary lunch for up to six people in the dedicated Owners and Trainers Restaurant with the option to add more guest subject to availability and an additional charge payable in the restaurant on the day. We offer 3 sittings per day, each for an hour.

Afternoon meetings lunch sittings at 12:00, 13:15 and 14:30

Evening meetings dinner sittings at 16:45, 18:00 and 19:15

There are other restaurants available where the table can be reserved for the entire day and a 10% discount can be offered. Bookings are to be made through the ticket office on 01243 755055.

Private Box
If you decide that you might prefer a private box for the day, please call Hospitality on 01243 755054. We are pleased to offer a 10% discount to Owners & Trainers with a confirmed runner (subject to availability). All your food & liquor will be charged on consumption. Please kindly note that we do not permit food and drink to be brought into the Racecourse.

At Goodwood we embrace quintessentially British style. Whether that’s high fashion or something more classic, it’s about a relaxed yet chic look. We are known for a distinctive style: linen suits, Panama hats and chic dresses are de-rigeur. 

Ever since King Edward VII eased the dress code in the 19th century, we have enjoyed a carefree holiday feel here, unlike any other racecourse. 

Within the Richmond Enclosure:
Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie. Boys aged 7-15 years are asked to wear a long sleeved collared shirt (no polo shirts). 

Ladies, it's all about the garden party look. A floaty or floral dress, an elegant top and trouser/skirt combination that is suitable for England in summer. We recommend that you leave your stiletto heels at home, as the uneven ground can be tricky to walk on.

Shorts and fancy dress are not permitted.  

Every Owner, Partnership and Syndicate is entitled to six owners' badges with lunch per runner.  Registered syndicates may have up to twelve badges in exchange for lunch.

We ask that the syndicate manager agrees the allocation of badges under their management in advance of the meeting.  Please be reminded that it is the responsibility of the syndicate or partnership manager to inform their owners of our dress code and specific lunch arrangements made on their behalf and in advance.

Trainers with runners on the day and Jockeys with a ride will be entitled to two enclosure badges each. Owners of horses that are entered but not declared, can be offered two Richmond Enclosure badges for that day.

Badges can only be collected from the Owners' & Trainers' desk at the entrance to the Richmond Enclosure close to Car Park 6.

Please present your PASS card or QR code confirmation from the PASS system.  We reserve the right to ask for personal ID before any badges are released.

Due to the high demand resulting in the frequent sell out at the Three Friday Nights, Owners and Trainers are eligible to receive four complimentary tickets only for attendees under 18 for these fixtures.

QATAR GOODWOOD FESTIVAL SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS
In an effort to improve the experience for all Owners & Trainers' at our world-renowned Qatar Goodwood Festival, entry into the Parade Ring, Pre-Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure will only be permitted with a valid Parade Ring pass.

Goodwood Stables has 130 loose boxes and accommodation for racing staff.

Stable Staff 
Stable staff are provided with complimentary food on all racedays in the stables canteen. We also issue Best Turned-Out awards for each race at Goodwood with a minimum prize of £150.

Horseboxes
The stables are located at Goodwood House PO18 OPX.

Racing also has an independently chaired Horse Welfare Board, formed in 2019, to help focus collective efforts to drive forward innovation and progress across the sport.

It goes without saying that equine welfare is of the upmost importance here at Goodwood Racecourse. Any racehorse in our care will always be treated with compassion, respect, and care.

Toilets
Disabled toilets are located on the ground floor of the March Grandstand by the left luggage room and the Double Trigger Restaurant and Horsewalk Syndicate Lounge. All disabled toilets are operated by radar key which are kept at the Racecourse Reception in the Gordon Enclosure, First Aid points and the March Stand cloakroom.

Assistance Dogs
Guide dogs and official assistance dogs are welcome at the Racecourse by advance request. 

Hearing Loops
These are located at our two main East and West Entrances.
