A temple-folly guarded by two sphinxes, the beautiful shell house was built in 1748 with collected shells and the floor made from horse teeth.

Our premier enclosure, Richmond, is only available to Members and their guests during the Qatar Goodwood Festival. Stands
Yes, food and drink is allowed in all of the steppings but please make sure all waste is disposed of in the bins provided. Food and drink is not permitted in grandstand seating.
Enclosures
You’re very welcome to bring your own picnic if you are attending the Lennox Enclosure. A moderate amount of alcohol is also permitted as part of your picnic, with up to one (750ml) bottle of wine or champagne, or up to four beers to share between two guests. Please note that spirits are not permitted as part of your picnic, and the consumption of alcohol is limited to certain areas of the event. We kindly ask that you respect Goodwood staff if you are informed an area does not allow your consumption of alcohol.
Cans and plastic bottles are allowed but no glass is permitted.
Richmond Enclosure
Guests in the Richmond Enclosure may purchase food and drink in any enclosure, however we ask that food purchased elsewhere is not brought back into the Richmond Enclosure.

Yes, we have a play area that is located at the east end of the Lennox Enclosure. The playground is for 4-12 year-olds and is situated within the Lennox Enclosure, however, ticket holders for all enclosures are able to make use the playground. The playground is only open when the Lennox Enclosure is open. Please be aware that the playground is not supervised so we recommend adult supervision at all times.
