After a fire in 1791 at Richmond House in Whitehall, London, James Wyatt added two great wings to showcase the saved collection at Goodwood. To give unity to the two new wings, Wyatt added copper-domed turrets framing each façade.

LEGO® joins the fun
Joining Goodwoof for the first time, the LEGO Group will bring imagination to life with its spectacular entry into the Barkitecture competition, the 'U‑Woof‑O’, a cosmic, brick‑built kennel designed by LEGO Certified Professional Kev Gascoigne of Fairy Bricks. Celebrating the ‘Dogs in Space’ theme, the creation will be showcased all weekend before being auctioned in support of Battersea. Visitors will also be able to join exclusive, pre‑bookable LEGO workshops for adults and children, crafting their own mini 'U‑Woof‑O' to take home.

A stellar line‑up will join us at Literary Corner, with Martin Clunes, Lauren Child and Tim Peake making their Goodwoof debuts. Plus, this year, Literary Corner will relocate to a dedicated new space, offering more intimate readings from our fantastic line‑up, all included with the price of your ticket.
The Training and Behaviour Stage
New for 2026, Goodwoof will introduce the Training & Behaviour Stage, offering visitors expert‑led guidance on everything from puppy basics to complex behavioural challenges. Hosted by renowned trainer Steve Mann, Founder of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), the area will feature a full weekend timetable of talks, masterclasses and live demonstrations, plus the chance to book one‑to‑one sessions with IMDT professionals.
An even better Off‑lead Area
Goodwoof’s Off‑lead Area is the perfect place for dogs to let off steam in a safe, enclosed and monitored space. Let your dog run around the paddock and have‑a‑go at agility obstacles and hoopers. In 2026, we’re adding more seating and catering options so you can relax and enjoy the views of the beautiful Goodwood Estate.
Celebrating canine sports
The Have‑a‑Go area will take on a vibrant new look in 2026 as World Cup fever sweeps Goodwoof, complete with colourful decorations, flags and fun photo moments. Top European Treibball handlers from the Czech Republic and Germany will compete in a thrilling competition before teaching visitors and their dogs how to master the sport. With expert coaching and plenty of energy, Treibball will become one of the most exciting hands-on experiences of the weekend.
The Zen Den
Goodwoof’s new Zen Den will be a calming space designed to help both dogs and their humans unwind during the event, bringing together for the first time all of our wonderful holistic, spiritual and healing activities in one easy‑to‑find spot. You’ll be able to consult tarot card readers, experience crystal healing with your dog, uncover how their star sign shapes their personality and so much more, all included in the ticket price.

A new out‑of‑this‑world Barkitecture theme
Barkitecture 2026 will return to Goodwoof with its most imaginative showcase yet, as 17 leading architects and designers unveil their cosmic ‘Dogs in Space’ kennels before they are auctioned in aid of Battersea. Visitors can explore the interstellar creations in the Barkitecture tent, vote in the People & Paws Award and watch a celebrity panel—led by curator Kevin McCloud MBE and joined by astronaut Tim Peake CMG—crown the Kennel Design Award winner. Bursting with creativity and craftsmanship, the 2026 shortlist will transform Goodwoof into a galaxy of canine innovation and become a standout attraction.

Start your day amidst the sumptuous surroundings of the Goodwood House Ballroom with the all‑new ‘Goodwoof Barkfast Club’. The delicious breakfast, including award‑winning produce from Goodwood Home Farm, is sure to set humans up for a day of exploration whilst their dogs fuel up on an array of healthy treats.
