Introducing our 1969 Porsche 912, a handsome example of the stylish classic sports car featured in our Revival Racing fleet.

Under the rear lid is a 1.6-litre air-cooled flat-four, believed to produce around 90bhp, which is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and features a 4 cylinder 1600cc, better handling with less weight out the back.

The 912 utilised Porsche’s competition experience, internally designated as the 911/912-B, the B distinguished the 1969 model year cars as a long-wheelbase example, with the rear wheels moved 2.4 inches further back on the chassis without altering the overall length of the car, offering improved handling and road-holding while maintaining ride quality. Later cars can be distinguished visually by their pronounced rear arches capable of accommodating far wider wheels.

Inside, the car has a dog-leg gear box adding an exciting challenge for all drivers, featuring a 1st gear located down-and-left, placing 2nd and 3rd in a direct vertical line. This design enables faster shifting between 2nd and 3rd, ideal for racing/mountain roads. It is a synchronized, period-correct unit often noted for a "notchy" feel, with 5th acting as an overdrive.
