The 83rd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport marked the start of the 2026 motorsport season here at Goodwood. Everything from pre-war Grand Prix machines to Super Touring era BTCC racers took to the circuit over two days of unmatched historic racing.

We also celebrated James Hunt and Barry Sheene with live demonstrations on track. Meanwhile, Formula 1 fans witnessed the reunion of Jenson Button and his 2009 Championship-winning Brawn BGP001. There was so much in store over the two days, and here are the best of the snaps from across the Members' Meeting weekend.

Sunday’s packed programme

Sunday at 83MM provided cool Spring air and endless blue skies for a full day of historic racing. And what a treat was in store for us, with no shortage of close battles filling a packed programme.

Saloon car fans were treated to the two-driver Gordon Spice Trophy and Part 2 of the Win Percy Trophy, where the amateur drivers were picking up from where the pros left off the day before.

At the other end of the spectrum, cars dating back more than a century took to the track for the S.F. Edge Trophy, while the Part 2 of the Hailwood Trophy (ft. Sheene Trophy) delighted two-wheel fans.

Our celebrations of Barry Sheene and James Hunt were a reminder of a bygone era of true motorsport characters, while the Super Touring Shoot-Out kept us gripped. The same goes for Jenson Button’s reunion with his Championship-winning Brawn BGP001

But let’s not try to summarise it all here... instead, enjoy the stunning images captured by our team of trackside photographers.

On-track action begins

The first of the cars and bikes racing have headed out on track for their Official Practice sessions, which means we’ve seen an astoundingly diverse range of machinery in hardly any time at all.

From peak 1970s and '80s motorcycles and saloon cars from the Hailwood Trophy and Win Percy Trophy, to the century-old racers of the S.F. Edge Trophy and the svelte lines of the Protheroe Cup’s Jaguar E-types, it’s been a wonderfully mixed display thus far, as this gallery can attest.

There’s plenty more to come today, but take a moment to enjoy a selection of some of our favourite snaps from a busy morning at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

Day one dawns in the paddocks

The sun is still low and the shadows are long across the Goodwood paddocks as they begin to come to life for the first day of 83MM. Some cars are still enrobed in tailored covers, others are dew-covered and glinting in the promising spring sunshine.

Engines are universally dormant, adding to the sense of the calm before the storm. It won’t be long until mechanics begin their preparation, engines burst into life exhaling though unsilenced exhausts and the Motor Circuit comes to life with wheel-to-wheel battles in an array of formulae.

Our photographers were here first thing in the morning to capture the pre-event atmosphere, and you can soak it up with us thanks to this gallery.
