This is the Mazda MX-5 100th Anniversary, and before you get too confused, wondering how on earth the MX-5 can possibly be 100 years old, it isn’t. Mazda has created a number of special editions up and down its model range to celebrate 100 years of Mazda, and this is the celebratory MX-5.
Although it doesn’t come with a party hat (a missed opportunity if you ask me), this limited edition MX-5 does come with one or two exclusive features. Exactly what they are, well, you’ll have to watch the video to find out. But suffice to say there are no gimmicks here – at its most basic level it is still an ND MX-5, and therefore one of the simplest and most entertaining small, reasonably priced rear-wheel-drive cars around. Don’t let 30 years of tedious hairdresser jokes put you off.
