GTO Engineering will be presenting its third revived classic model at the 2021 Goodwood Revival. Meet the California Spyder Revival, a customisable, hand-built, nut-for-bolt replica of the highly revered V12 roadster.

While faithful in appearance to the rarified original, the California Spyder Revival is intended to offer buyers a bit of freedom. You can have your pick of the 3.0-, 3.5- and 4.0-litre Colombo-style V12 engines. You can also have your pick of four- or five-speed transmissions.

The chassis, meanwhile, is strengthened compared to the original for better driving dynamics. On the inside, a variety of specifications of leather can be optioned. You can even ask for a smaller wheel for a more dynamic feel.

Obviously, no two original California Spyders are entirely the same. GTO’s Revival will be based on the rare 1960 SWB spec, with each car taking 1,500 man-hours to create. The price for all of this? Well, depending on the donor vehicle and the final spec, between £750,000 and £850,000. The price of a very nice house that may be but an original will cost you the GDP of a small County.

Buyers can expect cars to start arriving at the end of this year and you can see it for the first time in the metal at 2021 Revival.
