Mansory gets its hands on the Ineos Grenadier – with predictable results

It’s happened. But then you knew it was going to, didn’t you? Someone has let Mansory loose on the Ineos Grenadier and it’s… Well, it’s Mansory.

Perhaps the exterior is not as bad as you might fear, having seen the company’s previous work. But that still means we want very little to do with it. Especially if you make the major mistake of opening the doors. At which point you might feel the sudden need to fill in your pupils with cement.

More on that in a sec. Let’s talk about actual changes. The Mansory version of the Grenadier has 350PS (257kW) and 560Nm (413lb ft) – up from 285PS (210kW) and 450Nm (332lb ft) if it’s the petrol version, we don’t actually know. It also has a raised chassis (as if that was needed) new 20-inch rims and a whole lot of carbon-fibre.

Yep, that’s low-weight material on the front grille, front splitter, carbon instep trim, a rear roof spoiler (yes) in carbon, spare wheel cover in carbon, carbon wheel arches, carbon bumpers and bonnet. It’s also lit up like Wembley at the League Cup final with more spotlights than anyone needs and even has LED strips integrated into the roof, for some reason. Oh, and the grab handles. And the front bumper.

There’s Mansory logos everywhere, all of course tastefully illuminated and, most importantly, it now has a stainless-steel exhaust. So, it’ll sound like every tuned V6 that’s driven through whatever quiet town you live in.

But enough on the outside, which is subtle compared to how Mansory has gone to town inside. What does a rugged off-roader really need? Diamond-stitched leather, illuminated door panels and a fridge in the front, of course.

Yes, if you’re out doing some hardcore off-roading a frosty beveragino won’t be too far away at any time.  Interestingly, looking at the images it now appears to only have one central cupholder for… reasons.

But the major thing here is that incredible shade of pink. Pink wheel, pink dash, pink seats, pink leather covers on the seatbelt buckles. Tasteful it is not.

We’re sure you can order it in other colours, but if you’re buying something from Mansory why would you do that anyway? Surely you’re already all in? In fact, if anyone buys one without the pink interior we’re willing to turn up and call them a chicken. 

The price? Well, it’s £66,015. For the kit. You’ll need to buy a Grenadier yourself first.
