Of course, as the Retromobile name suggests, the overwhelming theme of this enormous convention is the great, good, and often wonderfully curious of automotive history. We’ve spent the past 24 hours wandering around the three enormous halls of the Paris expo Porte de Versailles, taking in as much as possible from the numerous exhibitors.

As you might imagine, it’s quite difficult to maintain a train of thought beyond “oh that’s cool”, before your mind is quickly snatched away by the next thing you see, normally something even cooler, like a Ferrari 512S, a row of immaculate Renault Twingos in a series of incredible liveries, or the brand-new Citroën Oli concept car.

With showcases from Renault, Citroën and Caterham, along with a host of classic car proprietors from Fiskens to Girado, not to mention the exquisite brochure of cars at the Artucrial auction, the level of quality and prestige on display is relentlessly breathtaking.

Regardless of what your automotive interests are, they’re more than likely catered for here. You may even find a whole new niche you never knew you were missing.
