Modern camera technology is a wonderful thing. So compact, so versatile. It means we can get a front row seat to some of the scariest, sketchiest activities, from the comfort of our couches. This GoPro clip is a helmet cam from the Monster Energy Supercross and really makes us feel appreciative for this kind of media.
Once upon a time, we’d have been lucky if such competitions were even aired on television – we’d need to resort to grainy photos in niche magazines. Now, whatever it is, wherever it is, you can come along for the ride. The kind of control and balance required to wrangle these super crossers across this course, over the jumps and bumps, is difficult to appreciate. It’s a good job we can’t feel the beating rider Sean Cantrell is taking.
