Iron Dames win 4 Hours of Imola

Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey, and Michelle Gatting, driving a Porsche 911 led home the Racing Spirit of Léman (RSL) Aston Martin trio by just 0.7 seconds after 123 laps.

Bovy had put the Iron Dames on pole for the GT3 class by a tenth of a second ahead of the RSL car, and the leading pair were locked in a relentless battle, never more than a couple of seconds apart, for the entire four-hour distance.

The pink Porsche took the chequered flag to lift the Iron Dames to third in the standings at the halfway stage of the season.

Bovy, Frey, and Gatting recently finished fifth in the GT3 class at the Le Mans 2024 Hours, and currently sit sixth in the World Endurance Championship after claiming second place in the standings in 2023.

The Iron Dames now head to Spa for the next round of the ELMS on 25^th August, to continue what is now an established title challenge, but before that we’ll welcome them to Goodwood for the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard this weekend.
