Video: Listening to this V12 Matra is almost a religious experience
It may have been less than two weeks since we aired the Members’ Meeting Favourite Moments live stream (and there’s an Easter Monday Stream coming up, if you haven’t seen), but we’re already suffering withdrawal symptoms.
So, we’ve been scouring YouTube for Members’ Meetings videos that we haven’t yet seen. And surprise, surprise, there aren’t many. But we’ve stumbled across this unique angle of a Matra at full chat down the straight, recorded by Historic Racing HD during the 75th Members’ Meeting. And it is glorious.
Parading in the '70s 3.0-litre sportscars demonstration at the 2017 event, the recognisable endurance racer takes on the pit straight time and time again. Listen to its screaming V12, and watch as it blasts off from the chicane with its classic Le Mans counterparts. The sheer number of spectators hanging over the pits is proof that this video is well worth watching indeed.
