Porsche’s 911 RSR is what dreams are made of, and this video is nothing short of spectacular. Join Scooter Gabel behind the wheel of a 911 RSR as he gives chase to Alegra Motorsports teammate Billy Johnson in a nearly identical car.
The chase unfolded at the Daytona Classic 24 early in November, with the pair competing in Group B of the Historic Sportscar Racing event. Watch as they fly through the banks and curves of the legendary circuit, the gap growing and shrinking as if they were connected by elastic.
Despite his valiant efforts, throughout much of this four-minute onboard, Gabel is unsuccessful in pipping past his peer. However, with just seconds to go he takes his chance, and you’ll have to watch to the end to find out if he succeeds in taking the lead…
