The Whitsun Trophy yields some of the very best racing at The Goodwood Revival. Lightweight low-slung sportscars gird their thunderous V8s and bend the sidewalls of their balloon tyres as they vie for track position. One ordinarily wouldn’t have had high hopes for Phil Keen in his Lotus, starting as far down the order as he did. Thanks however, to a truly ruthless display of pace as he scythed his way through the pack, second was Keen’s position to take and Tony Sinclair’s to loose. It all came down to this spectacular chase with both cars truly pushed to their limits. The T70 lacks the pace but with Sinclair’s stupendous defensive driving, Keen tallied up a good number of fruitless lunges. Can he muscle past? Watch on to find out.
