In the Whitsun Trophy, engines range in size from 4.0- to 7.0-litres. In this, the Chichester Cup, the motors are on a slightly different scale… These fiery Formula Juniors might be comparable in size to a pair of slippers, but their sub-1,100cc engines don’t have much weight to move around. They’re quick, then, and evenly matched, which means 20 minutes of supremely close racing.
These are the cars that gave a number of F1 greats their first taste of single-seater success, including Jim Clark, Denny Hulme, John Surtees and more. Who, out of the 2022’s 31-car grid, could claim victory on a bright sunny afternoon at the Goodwood Revival?
