The new Lamborghini Temerario might not sound quite as fruity as the old Huracan did to us on the outside, but it looks as though it’ll feel very dramatic on the inside judging by how hard the driver is pushing when it made its way up the Hill at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
This is the Temerario, Lamborghini’s replacement for the Huracan. Its hybrid 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 920PS (676kW) compared to the Huracan’s 640PS (471kW) and revs to a slightly unhinged 10,000rpm. Remember when supercars had 400PS or so? Those days are well and truly gone.
With a top speed of 213mph and a 0-62mph time of 2.7 seconds, Lamborghini’s ‘baby’ supercar is anything but a baby — it’s more like a 30-year-old powerlifter. Whoever was at the wheel of this running up the Hill must have taken quite a big brave pill to push it as hard as they did. Get it wrong on the Hill and there isn’t much space to recover, yet our driver here seems absolutely fine getting the rear end twitching. Perhaps they’ll take the new Temerario GT3 up the Hill next year and push equally as hard…
