If you’ve only seen pictures of the Ferrari 12Cilindri, the latest front-engined V12 GT car to roll out of Maranello, then we implore you to go and get a closer look if you’re at the 2025 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
In the metal, it looks absolutely phenomenal, and in motion on the Goodwood Hill, it’s true poetry in motion. Ferrari’s 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine remains an aural masterpiece, producing 830PS (610kW) at 9,250rpm.
The engine will keep going though, all the way to 9,500rpm, and we got to experience that when the 12Cilindri made its way up the Hill at the Festival of Speed for the first time.
We have to say it looks absolutely stunning in yellow too, shining bright in the sunshine that has blessed this weekend at Goodwood. It’s a gorgeous shape, with more than a passing resemblance to the 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ thanks to that long, tapered nose.
Ultimately, it’s just nice to know that the V12 Ferrari isn’t going anywhere yet, and by this evidence, it’s in better health than it’s ever been.
Ferrari has brought some serious machinery to the Festival of Speed this year. The 12Cilindri is joined on the Hill by the new F80 and the 296 Speciale all weekend long, and there is of course a host of Ferrari F1 cars both on static and dynamic display.
