Astronaut Sir Tim Peake, pilots from the world-famous Red Arrows and innovators from hydrogen-powered off-road racing are among those taking part in exclusive tech talks at the 2025 FOS Future Lab presented by Randox.

The tech talks are fast-paced, podcast-style sessions that pack a punch. Each 30-minute discussion brings together diverse voices from across industries, from rocket scientists to racing engineers, to tackle the big questions shaping our world. Perfect when you need a timeout from all of the action at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard.
Whether you’re a self-confessed tech geek or a newcomer full of curiosity, these talks are designed to spark your imagination. Running from Friday to Sunday, entry to the talks is on a first-come, first-served basis, and you can find the timetable for all three days here.
Conversation in the Randox Studio begins at 09:00 on Friday with an Extreme H panel discussing the drive for diversity and equality in motorsport. This is followed at 10:00 by the trip to the deep, where Director of Exploration Menaun Bound and the University of Sussex share what it’s like to explore dark frontiers, before we switch our attention to frontiers of another kind, when Astronaut Tim Peake, Space Forge, and journalist Bernard Marr explore how space is driving innovation on Earth at 12:00.
Friday afternoon starts at 13:00 with the first of two talks from Randox, exploring how its biochip tech is transforming health. Then from humans to humanoids, experts from The National Robotarium and renowned journalist Bernard Marr will delve into the fascinating world of humanoid robots at 15:00 before we once again hear about the future of health with Randox at 16:00.
Closing out the day, at 17:00 we join scientists from the University of Sussex and XR storytellers Atlantic Studios to explore how XR is transforming science communication and what we’re learning about cosmic origins. The final talk on Friday takes us back to the ocean, with the E1 Series diving into the future of racing with the RaceBird powerboat at 18:00.
Sticking with the aquatic theme, Saturday morning starts at 09:00 when experts from Seabed 2030, Euclid Consortium and Marble discuss the tech, challenges and breakthroughs behind charting the most mysterious frontiers: the seafloor, ice caps and outer space. At 10:00 the conversation turns to drones and robots, as experts from The National Robotarium and Certo Aerospace explore how they are reshaping our world with Bernard Marr, and then we’ll be learning all about how Extreme H and E1 are reshaping motorsport, from hydrogen-fuelled races to electric boat battles at 12:00.
Health experts reveal how Randox’s biochip tech is empowering smarter choices and a new era of personalised wellbeing at 13:00 and 16:00, in between which Stephanie Travers and Ariana Bravo will share inspiring stories and insights on creating space and support for youth to lead and succeed at 15:00. Lastly, we explore how robotics is reshaping industries and everyday life, as journalist Jane Wakefield joins Autodiscovery at 17:00 to discuss the future of robotics.
Sunday’s programme commences at the later time of 12:00, as Extreme H discuss how high-performance sport is driving groundbreaking green tech innovation, followed by the first of the day’s looks into how Randox’s cutting-edge biochip tech empowers personalised health insights once out of reach at 13:00.
Seabed 2030, SeaKeepers and Schmidt Ocean Institute uncover the ocean’s mysteries with cutting-edge tech maps at 15:00, before the final talk from Randox explores how Randox’s biochip tech can track biomarkers, optimise performance, and manage wellbeing for peak performance at 16:00.
