2025 Festival of Speed timetable

The 2025 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard is set to be the biggest yet, as Goodwood celebrates 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. We’re getting ready for four days of unmissable action, and the timetable will help you to make sure you never miss a thing.

Festival of Speed Thursday hillclimb timetable

The Festival of Speed gets underway with the opening of the Hill on Thursday morning, as the Duke of Richmond completes the first run up past Goodwood House at 08:30. He’ll be followed by a packed programme that’s set to keep the famous hillclimb buzzing with activity all day long.

Next is the cars that symbolise this year’s theme for the Festival of Speed, The Winning Formula, head away from the start line at 9:10.

Then at 09:55 it’s our first chance to take a look at a host of brand new road cars and motorcycles that’ll be featured as part of First Glance, alongside a brand new class for this year’s event, New Classics, which will showcase a number of brilliant reimaginings of the world’s most iconic cars.

The first F1 action will kick off at 10:40 with a class of Championship-winning cars, before the afternoon gets underway with the first Supercar Run at 12:20.

It’ll be more F1 at 13:20, as the 75-year timeline of the World Championship is showcased through many of the sport’s most famous machines. Expect to see everything from the pre-war racers that represent the Prologue of F1, to the Innovators that helped to shape the sport as we know it, and the Underdogs that defied the odds to immortalise themselves in F1 history.

First Glance returns with New Classics at 14:55, before a series of celebrations take centre stage at 15:45. There will be individual spotlights for 1995 WRC Champion Colin McRae and five-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Derek Bell, and they’ll be joined by stars from the worlds of Drift, touring cars and World Superbikes.

The Supercar Run goes again at 16:35 before the Hill is closed by a final run for the manufacturers at 17:35.

Festival of Speed Friday hillclimb timetable

Day two of the Festival of Speed’s hillclimb activity will begin once again with the cars that represent The Winning Formula at 08:30. Batch 2, featuring the celebrations of Colin McRae and Derek Bell, will climb the Hill at 09:15 and the F1 Champions will be in action at 10:05.

You can see the Supercar Run for the first time at 10:55, before the story of F1 75 is told once more at 11:40. First Glance and New Classics feature for the first time on Friday at 12:30 before the F1 Champions return at 13:25.

Mid afternoon will be punctuated by the second Supercar Run of the day at 14:15, before the cars in the Timed Shoot-Out head out for Practice at 16:00. It’s First Glance again at 16:50, before the day on the Hill ends with The Winning Formula and Batch 2.

Festival of Speed Saturday hillclimb timetable

We’ll fly into the weekend proper at 08:30 with Batch 2 on Saturday morning, followed by the Supercar Run at 09:15.

The first F1 75 action of the day commences at 10:10 before The Winning Formula cars at 10:55. The F1 Champions will be on the Hill at 11:50 before First Glance and New Classics kick off the afternoon at 12:35.

It’s F1 75 again at 13:20, before the F1 Champions head up the Hill at 14:05 ahead of their Balcony moment.

The Supercar Run returns at 15:00 before the second Timed Practice session of the Festival of Speed at 15:55. The afternoon draws to a close with The Winning Formula and Batch 2 at 16:50 before the final Hill action of the day with First Glance and New Classics at 17:40.

Festival of Speed Sunday hillclimb timetable

The final day of the 2025 Festival of Speed begins with First Glance and New Classics at 08:30 before The Winning Formula graces the Hill once again at 09:20. That’s followed immediately by the Supercar Run at 10:05 before the F1 Champions take centre stage at 11:00.

It’s here that the Hill will come to a halt, as we revel in a unique moment: the Ultimate F1 Grid. A curated selection of the greatest and most famous F1 cars will be lined up on the Hill in front of Goodwood House in what is bound to be a hugely evocative interlude.

The F1 75 train rolls on with the Prologue, Pioneers, Innovators and Underdogs at 11:55. Batch 2, featuring celebrations of Colin McRae and Derek Bell alongside stars from Drift and World Superbikes will be on the Hill at 12:40.

Anyone interested in the latest road cars and bikes will not want to miss First Glance and New Classics as they complete their final runs at 13:25. The F1 Champions will round off their Festival of Speed programme at 14:14, before we all take a breath.

The Timed Shoot-Out final will demand all of our attention when the first car gets underway at 15:05, with the 2025 winner set to be crowned.

The afternoon continues apace with the final Supercar Run of the weekend at 16:15 before the Prologue, Pioneers, Innovators and Underdogs of F1 75 return one more time at 17:10.

The 2025 Festival of Speed closes with the final outings for the Winning Formula and Batch 2 at 17:55.

Headline moments at the 2025 Festival of Speed

The Festival of Speed will of course major on dynamic activity across the Goodwood Estate, but there will be a series of moments where the pace will slow and we’ll take time to appreciate some true legends of motorsport.

First up on Thursday will be five-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner, and lifelong friend of Goodwood, Derek Bell. He’ll be celebrated in a special moment on the balcony of Goodwood House at 16:20.

It’s the turn of the four-time World Superbike Champion, and British motorcycle racing icon Carl Fogarty on Friday. He’ll be under the spotlight on the balcony at 13:55.

Saturday will feature one of the most remarkable moments in Festival of Speed history, when at least seven F1 World Champions will share the Goodwood balcony to soak up the adoration of those in attendance.

On Sunday the balcony is reserved especially for the man with four F1 Championships to his name, Alain Prost; his career will be showcased at 14:45.

Each day will also feature a bespoke moment for the man whose life’s work will be commemorated on this year’s Central Feature. Gordon Murray, the founder of Gordon Murray Automotive, will celebrate 60 years in car design at this year’s Festival of Speed, with several of his cars gathered together each day in front of the Goodwood House. This will take place at 13:50 on Thursday, 12:10 on Friday, 12:20 on Saturday and 13:15 on Sunday.

2025 Festival of Speed Red Arrows timetable

The Red Arrows are regular visitors to the Festival of Speed, and they’ll be here again on Thursday for another spectacular air display at 11:45. You’ll also be able to rub shoulders with the pilots at the Cricket Pitch at 14:50 for a photo signing session.

They’ll return on Friday for a second display at 13:00, and a final showcase on Sunday at 12:20 before wrapping up their Festival of Speed activities with a fly past at 15:05 to signal the beginning of the Timed Shoot-Out Final.

What else to see at the 2025 Festival of Speed

Whenever you fancy a break from watching cars on the Hill, there’s plenty else to steal your attention throughout the Festival of Speed site. The Britpart Off-Road Arena opens each day at 09:00, 

There’s also the Goodwood Action Sports Arena, which features a programme of activity that begins with the Warm Up Show at 10:30 each day. Thursday will see additional shows at 12:00 and 15:00 before the BMX High Jump Competition at 17:30. Friday and Saturday shows commence at 13:30 and 15:30, with a BMX Best Trick Competition at 17:30 on Friday and a Freestyle Motocross Best Trick Competition on Saturday. Sunday will see shows at 12:30 and 14:30 before the Mountain Bike Best Trick Competition closes the weekend’s GAS Arena schedule at 16:30.

Anyone interested in purchasing a new car will also be interested in the Bonhams|Cars Auction, which will open for viewing at 09:00 on Friday before bidding commences at 14:00.

Thursday tickets are now limited. A small batch of extra tickets for Friday – Sunday have just been released, exclusively for members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club.
