Breakfast Club in 2025 has already hosted its Taxed and Tasty Sunday, and Super Sunday spoiled us a few weeks ago with a jaw-dropping array of some of the most impressive machines made — one of which being this striking peppermint green DLS Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer.
Very much a car after our hearts, the ‘DLS’ stands for ‘Dynamic and Lightweighting Study’, long hand for this classic 911 shape hiding a featherweight carbon fibre body. This car tips the scales at just 1,050kg. Factor in its 507PS (373kW) 4.0-litre, which embodies everything we love about a Porsche flat-six — the howl and the rev-chasing power delivery — and it makes for a hard-to-beat combination. A NA engine with a 9,300rpm redline puts this car at the top of the list for Porsche purists.
It also makes it blooming fast. Singer reckons it can do 0-62mph in less than four seconds and keep on going until it hits 210mph — performance even a modern 911 will struggle to match. And that sums up a Singer Porsche: you get the shape and character of a classic 964 but with the usability and performance of a contemporary Porsche.
But, as anyone who saw this car in the metal would agree, Singer’s reimagined 911 is also an automotive sculpture, its gorgeous shape enhanced with flared wheel arches, deep-dish Fuchs alloy wheels, twin exhaust pipes and a ducktail spoiler that sent us weak at the knees. And it was the same story on the inside, with the peppermint paint job carried over into the interior, with white leather and Singer’s beautiful seats and steering wheel.
The upcoming GRRC Sunday will offer more of the same, where the morning will be spent celebrating the members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club. The event is exclusive to GRRC Members and Fellows, however, so be sure to join the GRRC to be part of the action. If you’re already a Member, you can sign up for the free-to-enter event here.
